Most project management courses in Dubai prepare you for one of four credentials: PMI's PMP for experienced project managers, PMI's CAPM for beginners, PRINCE2 for method-based project control, or a Scrum certification for agile teams. PMP training in Dubai is usually a 35-hour course, run over four intensive days or several weekends.
This guide sets out each credential's official requirements, the fees we could verify, which Dubai providers teach them, and an important PMI rule change from 1 December 2026 that affects which PMP training courses count. ucep.in is independent and not linked to any training provider.

PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2 or Scrum: which project management course
| Credential | Body | Who it suits | Entry requirement | Exam |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PMP | PMI | Project managers with 3+ years' experience (graduates) | Experience plus 35 hours of training | 180 questions, 4 hours |
| CAPM | PMI | Beginners, coordinators, students | Secondary education plus 23 hours of education, age 18+ | 150 questions, 3 hours |
| PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner | PeopleCert (AXELOS) | Teams using a structured method, common with UK-linked and government clients | None for Foundation | Foundation 60 questions; Practitioner 68 questions, open book |
| Professional Scrum Master I | Scrum.org | Scrum masters, agile team members | None; course optional | 80 questions, 60 minutes, 85% pass |
PMP is the broadest of the four and the usual target for experienced project managers in construction, real estate, technology and government projects. PRINCE2 and agile certifications are common add-ons rather than replacements.
PMP courses in Dubai: eligibility, exam and fees
Eligibility
PMI requires project management experience from the last 10 years, counted in years without double-counting overlapping projects:
- Bachelor's degree or higher: 3 years
- Associate degree or vocational diploma: 4 years
- High school diploma: 5 years
- Degree from a PMI Global Accreditation Center programme: 2 years
You also need 35 hours of project management training, or an active CAPM.
Exam and renewal
The PMP exam has 180 questions over 240 minutes. You keep the credential by earning 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three years.
Exam fee
PMI's certification pages say the fee is paid after your application is accepted and do not print the amount. Independent 2026 guides report USD 405 for PMI members and between USD 555 and USD 655 for non-members, and PMI applies regional pricing (PM Study Circle guide, Apr 2026). Check the exact figure in your PMI account before paying; joining PMI first usually lowers the exam fee by more than the membership cost.
CAPM: the entry-level PMI certification
The CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) needs only a secondary qualification, age 18 or over, and 23 hours of project management education. The exam has 150 questions (135 scored) over 180 minutes. A third-party guide citing PMI reported fees of USD 225 for members and USD 300 for non-members (Rosemet guide, Apr 2026).
An active CAPM also satisfies the PMP training requirement, so it can be a stepping stone once you have enough experience.
PRINCE2 courses in Dubai
PRINCE2 7 is owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Most Dubai providers sell Foundation and Practitioner together over about 4 to 5 days. Simplilearn, for example, describes its combined course as 2 to 3 days for Foundation plus about 2 days for Practitioner, with exam vouchers for both included, and lists the online bootcamp at USD 2,632 after discount (Simplilearn site, Oct 2026).
The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions and is closed book. The Practitioner exam has 68 scenario-based questions and is open book, using the official manual only. Simplilearn states a 60% pass mark for both.
Agile and Scrum certifications
Scrum.org's Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) costs USD 200 per attempt, has 80 questions in 60 minutes, needs 85% to pass, and does not expire (Scrum.org site, Oct 2026). No course is required, although Scrum.org recommends one. Other agile credentials, such as PMI-ACP and Scrum Alliance certifications, are also taught in Dubai; check the awarding body's site for current rules and fees, since we could not verify them for this page.
Agile skills sit well with technology roles; see IT courses in Dubai.
PMO training courses in Dubai
PMO (project management office) courses teach portfolio reporting, governance and setting up project standards. In Dubai they are mostly 3 to 5 day courses from training institutes ending with an institute certificate. They suit people already working in a PMO. If you need a recognised credential, pair a PMO course with PMP, or look at PMI's portfolio and programme certifications.
Project management training courses in Dubai: providers
Checked on providers' own pages in October 2026. ATP and KHDA status is as stated by the provider; confirm on PMI's and KHDA's own records.
| Provider | Courses | Location and format | Reported fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Edoxi Training Institute | PMP (35 hours); states PMI ATP and KHDA permitted | Bank Street Building, near BurJuman Metro; classroom weekends or online weekday evenings | AED 2,000 (Edoxi, Oct 2026) |
| Learners Ink | PMP, PRINCE2; publishes PMI ATP ID and PeopleCert ATO ID | Dubai classroom (4-day or weekend) or live online | USD 1,999 to 2,299 classroom; USD 1,099 to 1,399 online (Learners Ink site, Oct 2026) |

Project management degrees in Dubai
If you want a degree rather than a certification, The British University in Dubai runs a joint MSc in Project Management with the University of Leeds, which BUiD describes as the first joint MSc of its kind in the UAE and aimed at working professionals. BUiD lists tuition at AED 145,000, with an AED 20,000 discount for September 2026 applicants and a further 5% for Esaad, Fazaa and Homat Al Watan card holders (BUiD fee page, Oct 2026).
A degree takes far longer than a PMP course but suits people moving into senior programme roles. Compare it with an MBA in Dubai.

- Pick a schedule: 4-day intensive, weekend classroom or weekday evening online.
- Ask what is included: mock exams, application support, 35-hour certificate and access period.
Project managers often add leadership training; see leadership courses in Dubai.
