Communication courses in Dubai are mostly short, practical programmes: public speaking and presentation skills, customer service, sales, corporate communication and general soft skills, usually run over 1 to 5 days or as weekly club meetings. A smaller group of people want something deeper, such as a psychology degree or a coaching credential.
This guide explains each option, what it leads to, published fees where we could verify them, and how to tell a recognised credential from an institute certificate. ucep.in is independent and has no commercial link with any provider.

Public speaking courses in Dubai
The two most established options are very different in format and cost.
Toastmasters clubs
Toastmasters District 127 represents clubs across the UAE, including community and corporate clubs. Members practise prepared speeches, answer impromptu questions, evaluate each other and take on meeting roles, an approach Gulf News describes as learning by doing (September 2026). It is a low-cost way to practise regularly, but there is no instructor and no formal certificate beyond the programme's own recognition. Contact details are on the district site, toastmasters127.org.
Structured courses
Dale Carnegie's Dubai office, run by ORB Consultancy in Al Barsha, offers presentation and leadership training in person, online and blended, but does not publish prices. Training institutes also run 2 to 5 day presentation skills courses.
Customer service training courses in Dubai
Customer service courses in Dubai are usually short workshops covering service standards, handling complaints, phone and email etiquette, and service recovery. Many are delivered in-house for hotels, hospitals, airlines, retailers and government service centres, and some institutes also run open courses.
There is no single UAE licence for customer service staff, so most courses end with an institute certificate. If you want proof that an employer can check, choose a KHDA-permitted institute: KHDA offers private training institutes an attestation service for certificates from authorised courses, at AED 70 per certificate (KHDA service page, Oct 2026).
Before booking, ask for the course outline and check how much time goes on role play with feedback, since service skills improve through practice rather than slides. Courses tailored to one sector (healthcare front desk, airline check-in, retail) are usually more useful than generic ones. If your employer is sending a whole team, an in-house session built around your own complaint logs and service standards is often better value than an open course.
Customer service in hotels and restaurants overlaps with hospitality training; see hospitality courses in Dubai.
Sales courses in Dubai
Sales training courses cover prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation and key account management. Dale Carnegie lists sales training in its Dubai offer. EuroMaTech, a KHDA-approved institute in Dubai Media City, lists a 5-day Certificate in Key Account Management (KAM) at USD 5,950 with April 2027 dates (EuroMaTech site, Oct 2026).
For sales roles that rely on digital channels, see digital marketing courses in Dubai.
Corporate communication and soft skills training
Corporate communication courses teach writing for business, internal communication, media handling and stakeholder messaging. Examples with published details:
- EuroMaTech: Communication Strategies to Empower your Professional Career, 5 days in Dubai, USD 5,950 for April 2027 dates (EuroMaTech site, Oct 2026).
- London Business School: High Performance People Skills for Leaders, one of its in-person Dubai courses; fees not published on its Dubai page.
Soft skills training courses and personal development courses (time management, emotional intelligence, teamwork, confidence) are offered by most institutes as 1 to 2 day workshops. They are useful for specific gaps but rarely carry a recognised qualification. For broader management skills see leadership courses in Dubai.
Psychology courses and universities in UAE
Psychology is a degree subject in the UAE, not a short course. Two Dubai examples with published fees:
| University | Programme | Length | Reported fee | Professional note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Heriot-Watt University Dubai | BSc Psychology | 3 to 4 years full time | AED 87,010 per year for 2027 intakes (university site, Oct 2026) | Curriculum based on British Psychological Society recommendations; KHDA five-star rated institution |
| Middlesex University Dubai | BSc Psychology with Counselling Skills | 3 years full time | AED 64,557 per year (Bachelorsportal listing, Oct 2026) | Listing states it confers Graduate Basis for Chartership with the BPS |
Short psychology diploma courses in Dubai exist from private institutes, but they are not degrees. For more university options see universities in Dubai and best universities in UAE.
Coaching, NLP and football coaching courses
Coaching and NLP courses are not regulated by a UAE authority. NLP certificates are issued by many separate private organisations with different standards, so check the trainer's own credentials, the number of contact hours and whether there is any assessment. For workplace coaching, look for courses aligned with an established professional coaching body and ask which credential they lead to.
Football coaching courses are a different field: recognised coaching licences come through the national football association, while private academy certificates are not the same. Check with the UAE Football Association before paying for a course that promises a licence.
How to choose a communication course in Dubai
- Name the skill: presenting, customer handling, selling or writing. Generic courses help less than targeted ones.
- Check the licence: a KHDA permit for Dubai classroom training, and ask if the certificate can be KHDA attested.
- Ask about practice time: good communication courses are mostly practice with feedback, not lectures.
- Compare cost per hour: 5-day courses priced in USD can cost far more than a weekly club or a 1-day workshop.
- For psychology: choose an accredited degree and plan for postgraduate study if you want to practise.
